1. Applications
The vacuum pressure impregnation system are widely used for impregnation treatment of
windings of motors, electrical equipment, high voltage motors, traction motors, special motors,
pump motors, magnetic motors, and transformers.
The equipment is a newly energy-saving equipment, which greatly improves product quality,
reduces production cost, and strengthens competitiveness.
2. Features
a) The flange of the vacuum varnish impregnation equipment tank is of a misaligned teeth structure.
The teeth are machined.
b) Opening, closing, locking, and unlocking of the tank lid is through the hydraulic mechanism. Its
return signal is controlled by a non-contact proximity switch.
c) the opening angle of the tank lid is that its apex projects over the
inner wall of the impregnation tank.
d) resin supply and return method: bottom resin supply and return.
e) flange sealing: fluorinated silicone rubber lip type sealing ring (normal life: 2 years). There is also
one spare sealing ring.
f) Lid opening safety protection device: the tank
lid is set with a fast opening interlock device. When the non-contact
proximity switch is activated, the lock ring is unfastened and
the tank lid opened after confirmation of no pressure in the tank by a PLC delay.
g) an anti-explosion lamp, an observation window, and a camera which allows observation of the working
process by the display screen;

i) The tank lid is also set with a soft sealing gear safety valve. (the is no spark at over-pressure situation.)
j) When the inner wall surface of the impregnation tank is treated,

6. What is a vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process for motors?
VPI vacuum pressure impregnation process is to carry out the vacuum impregnation process for motor windings.
First pre dry and cool the parts after moisture removal, place the windings in a vacuum environment, remove
the air and volatiles inside the motor windings, and exert a certain pressure on the impregnated resin solution
after removing the vacuum by relying on the gravity of the resin solution in the vacuum and the capillary
action of the coil, as well as using dry compressed air or inert gas, so that theresinsolution can quickly
penetrate and fill the inner layer of the insulating structure.
In China, VPI is still a batch type insulation impregnation treatment process.
The vacuum impregnation process of the workpiece is carried out in the impregnating tank, and its
drying process is generally carried out in another container or oven. The methods include vacuum
drying, atmospheric stationary drying or rotary drying.
